Summary

Sheppard Pratt is seeking interns for the Community Based- Crisis Based program in Montgomery County for the 2026-2027 Social Work/Counseling Fieldwork.

About the Role

As an intern, you will work flexible schedules primarily in the afternoons and evenings, with potential school visits. The internship runs from September through April, with options for summer extensions. You will receive 1:1 supervision from a Licensed Certified Social Worker or Counselor weekly, along with additional task supervision and bi-monthly training opportunities.

About You

Required:

  • Current student of an accredited Masters of Social Work (MSW) or Masters of Counseling program, or Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program.
  • Strong foundation in child/adolescent mental health theory and related practice.

Preferred:

  • Experience in clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.
  • Familiarity with group theory and applications related to education for staff, clients, and caregivers.
